Uskudar University was founded in 2011 by the NP Group to Promote People’s Mental Health (NPISTANBUL Brain), by establishing medical centers focusing on psychiatry and psychology.

This group is considered the owner of the first hospital specializing in brain surgery, neurological, and psychological diseases, making the university the best institution in the field of human, psychological, and mental medicine.

Uskudar University is the first Turkish university specialized in the field of health and behavioral sciences. It follows modern teaching methods, meets international standards in research methods, and uses the latest technologies in education and training.

The number of its students is more than 20 thousand students of various nationalities, and the number of students graduating from it since its founding has reached more than 23 thousand.

Campus

The campus at Uskudar University consists of three campuses:

• Altunizade Campus is the main campus of the university.
• Uskudar Bazaar Campus.
• Altinzadeh South Campus.

Al-Ahram is distinguished by its strategic location in the Uskudar neighborhood overlooking the Bosphorus Strait in Istanbul, as well as its connection to all areas of Istanbul via the public transportation network.

The campus includes 5 colleges, 5 institutes, a vocational school for health services, and a language school. The university also has 4 libraries, 32 research centers, and 81 student clubs.

Because of its great interest in promoting mental health, Uskudar University has more than 50 research and application laboratories distributed over an area of ​​approximately 2,500 square meters, and the most important features of these laboratories are:

• Brain mapping (QEEG).
• Genetics (DNA isolation).
• Neurofeedback.
• Neuropsychology.
• Other labs are all open to students.
• A psychiatric hospital, it provides its students with the opportunity for practical training while studying, and a strong opportunity to work after graduation.

These laboratories are distinguished by being based on the latest technological means in education.
